01Integrated or semi-integrated
All-in-one luminaires combine module, battery, controller and LED for compact installation. Semi-integrated or split systems allow better module orientation, larger energy storage and service access. Choose from lighting calculation, shading, theft risk, wind, maintenance and autonomy—not appearance alone.
02Lighting design
Define road width, pole spacing, mounting height, bracket outreach, target lux and uniformity. Then select efficient optics and a dimming schedule. A higher wattage label does not guarantee better road lighting if distribution is wrong. Institutional and public work should require photometric files and sample-field verification.
03Energy and autonomy
Calculate nightly LED Wh after dimming, controller and battery losses; size the battery for the agreed number of low-sun nights; size the PV module for winter recharge at the actual tilt. Check LiFePO₄ BMS low-temperature and overcharge protection, cable connectors, enclosure sealing and surge protection.
04Schemes and procurement
Government or panchayat supply must follow the live tender, technical specification, approved budget and inspection plan. Do not assume that a private buyer qualifies for a government scheme. Record make/model, serials, pole/foundation drawing, battery warranty, controller programme and lux test at handover.
Planning table
Compare before requesting a quote
| Light class | Typical application | Preliminary pole | Quote basis |
|---|
| 12–15 W | Pathway / private campus | 3–4 m | Quantity + autonomy |
| 20–30 W | Campus road / lane | 5–6 m | Lux layout |
| 40–60 W | Wider road / yard | 6–8 m | Photometric design |
| High-mast / area | Large site | Engineered | Wind + foundation + lux |
