Use the live national portal and current DISCOM workflow; never rely on an old subsidy chart or verbal promise.
Residential consumers should check the current PM Surya Ghar portal for eligibility, CFA structure, capacity limits, registered vendors and required documents. Commercial or institutional systems may not receive the same residential support. Consumer category and meter ownership must match the application.
Register with state, DISCOM and consumer details; submit the rooftop application; wait for feasibility approval; select a registered vendor; install the compliant system; submit plant details; complete inspection and net meter; receive commissioning evidence; then submit bank and redemption details as the portal directs.
Subsidy-linked residential systems may require domestically manufactured cells and modules and other programme conditions. Match the exact module model to current lists and invoices. Do not substitute equipment after approval without written acceptance.
Use official portal links, verify vendor registration, pay only against written milestones, retain invoices and never share OTP, UPI PIN or banking credentials. A vendor cannot guarantee subsidy release because portal, inspection and eligibility decisions involve government and DISCOM authorities.
